Worldwide Brands Review, Learn How To Start Your Own Store
I am gonna let you in on one of the tools that my business partner and I used to create our first ecommerce store. Now to preface this, it has nothing to do with the actual building of the site just what you decide to sell.
For a long time I wanted to have my own e-store but had no idea where to start. I didn’t know about how to research markets, how to find products, or anything. That was nearly over 3 years ago, man how the time flies! Anyway, I was lucky enough to run across a company called Worldwide Brands early in my research.
Worldwide Brands, to put it bluntly, one of the best resources available when it comes to researching markets, product lines, and finding companies that will drop ship products for you.
If you are not familiar with drop shipping, think of it like this – You can sell a product without ever touching it, smelling it, seeing, whatever. You get access to wholesale prices without having to stock any merchandise! To give you an idea of how popular this idea is among internet retailers, let me ask you this. Do you know who the #1 dropshipper is? Hmmm? Well? OK! Its Amazon! Why would Amazon dropship products? Because they make money, period.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that dropshipping will make you rich. Just like any business model, it has its own set of headaches. Managed correctly, drop shipping is an excellent want to test and enter markets.
Back to Worldwide Brands. Another thing that sets them apart is the free training that they provide their members. They have videos, radio shows, training manual, a whole bunch of people in their office that pick up the phone to answer any questions you have. Imagine that, you can actually call them!
Go ahead and check it out for yourself. Worldwide Brands has been an excellent resource for me over the last few years and I think that you’ll be amazed at what information they are giving away for free and even more amazed at what you’ll get as a member.

So which one is better: Amazon or Worldwide Brands? Do you use both? Can a person use both? I’m looking to start my own ecommerce site catering to babies and children’s products, including clothing, gifts, gear….. Thanks for your input.
Hey Charlotte,
I just realized I wasn’t exactly clear about Amazon. Most of the products they sell are on a drop ship basis with the vendor. They don’t have a wholesale/dropship arrangement with folks looking to build a store like you. Worldwide Brands is a central source where you can find manufacturers and distributors that are willing to offer product to you, as a retailer, without requiring you to stock the merchandise.
Once you are set up with product, you can sell them through Amazon. Just make sure you have good margins in the product though. I hope this helps!
